This place contains all my reflections and thoughts, concerning my M.Ed in Distance Education Journey! It is divided into nine pages, all devoted to special aspects of the M.Ed., such as my learning progress, my most precious artefacts, my concluding remarks and some of the most remarkable moments of my studies. Introducing myself….
I am Foteini Evangelidou, I am 26 years old and I come from beautiful Greece. I am a graduate student in the Master of Education (Μ.Εd.) in “Distance Education” of Athabasca University, in Canada. I have a bachelor’s degree in Faculty of Education of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the direction of School of Primary Education. I have written a graduation thesis with the theme “Blogs as an educational tool – Paradigms of Greek conditions” and have worked as a teacher in primary education. I have attended further training programs and seminars concerning education and learning, such as special education, educational technology and instructors’ development. My primary interests include distance education, online learning, blended learning, mobile learning, massive online courses (MOOCs), the instructional design of online courses, educational technology, and augmented reality in education. I also love writing papers and participating in conferences regarding distance education and the impact of technologies on learning development. I am currently a researcher at the Advanced Educational Technologies & Mobile Applications (AETMA) Lab at Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology.
